Wedding Timeline Builder

Set the time your day starts, then edit each part and how long it takes. Every start and end time is worked out in order — move a part up or down and the whole day shifts with it. Print the finished schedule for your venue and suppliers.

Quick example: Starting at 4:00 PM, guests arrive 4:00–4:30 PM and the ceremony runs 4:30–5:00 PM, with the send-off ending the prefilled day at 10:05 PM.

How it works

Times cascade: each part starts the minute the previous one ends, so lengthening dinner by 15 minutes moves everything after it by 15 minutes. Durations are whole minutes and the end of the last part is your finish time — share that with your venue early if it runs late.

Frequently asked questions

What is a typical wedding timeline?

The prefilled day is a common shape: guests arrive, a 30-minute ceremony, an hour for photos and cocktails, dinner, toasts, cake, first dance, then the party. Edit any duration to match your venue's timings.

How long should the ceremony be?

Most ceremonies run 20–30 minutes. The default here is 30 — shorten it and the whole reception starts earlier.

Can I add parts like fireworks or a sparkler exit?

Yes. Use the name and minutes boxes at the bottom of the list to add a part, then move it up into place with the arrows.

Does the timeline save?

Yes, in this browser's local storage, so your start time and parts are here when you come back.

Please check before you print or share. Timings are your plan, not a guarantee — confirm ceremony, meal and finish times with your venue, registrar or officiant and photographer.
